Let’s talk about science! Happy Wednesday!

The image resolved with such clarity, such exquisite detail, that he was speechless.

He thought of galaxies and stars, black holes and supernovae, comets, meteors, dust and planets. His mind went further, to minerals and molecules, to elements, to the particles that make up those elements, and to the particles that make up those particles.

For one brief instant, he comprehended it all, top to bottom, the inextricable and absolute sameness of the unfathomably large and the invisibly small. Life had stark meaning and full context.

Then the moment passed, and he looked at the next image.
