hundred word wednesday – “flower, ice, wind & leaf”

In Hundred Word Wednesdays on January 18, 2012 at 1:26 pm

It was extremely windy last night, so windy it woke me up. So I got wind on the brain, I suppose. Hope you enjoy today’s meditative tale.

Oh yeah, and get out of here SOPA and PIPA.

It was the second day of spring. Pink flowers dotted the garden, and the worst of the ice had melted. It was still chilly, so she wore a jacket.

She had nowhere to go, and nothing to do, so she walked slowly. She concentrated on her steps, and the small things around her.

The wind picked up briefly, sending a fallen leaf up over her head. She paused for a moment, and followed its path with her eyes. She pivoted slightly so she could watch it drift lazily down to the ground.

She turned forward again, and continued to walk.
