hundred word wednesday – “drop”

In Hundred Word Wednesdays on May 25, 2011 at 2:35 pm

Happy hump day, Kreftedeers. I hope you enjoy this little story. If you’re feeling it, I’d like to QUIETLY URGE you write your own story in the comments.

There was a brief moment where he felt as if this was it. The pinnacle of his existence. The most pure pleasure he could ever feel. Exhilaration and satisfaction in perfect balance.

Something about his mood at the time mixed with the entirety of his life experience up until that moment to precisely prepare him to derive a near infinite amount of happiness for about two seconds.

But the moment ended. He realized he’d been yelling, became just a bit self-conscious, and stopped. The car of the roller coaster hit the bottom of its initial drop, and life went on.

  1. Larry woke up, stepped on his little toe with his big toe, then his big toe with his little toe. “When I grow up, I want to be a piece of soup!” he yelled. He stole two noodles from his mom, who was also his wife, and went back to bed. No one could find him for days! He did nothing about it, and then went somewhere else. You know what they say, “When in Romania, do what somebody else would do!”
