hundred word wednesday – “tony the clown”

In Hundred Word Wednesdays on April 20, 2011 at 1:05 pm

Last week I promised a story about an amazingly hilarious clown. I do not shirk responsibility or break promises, so here you go. A story about a hilarious clown.

Tony was the richest clown in the world, because his jokes were always the best. Not only that, but his visual gags always killed with the young audiences. He was in high demand. He also had a terrific life. He never came under the dreadful spell of “sad clown syndrome.” He really was as happy as his facepaint suggested.
Because he was so happy, he was shunned from the rest of the clown community; they felt that a real clown needs a bit of despair to make his act truly remarkable. He died, happy, fulfilled, and completely forgotten.
